What we tint
Three kinds of glass.
The same sun.
Same film science, three different jobs. Here is what each one actually involves.
Cars, trucks
and fleet
Computer-cut patterns and heat-shrunk back glass, so the film sits edge to edge with no light gaps and no peeling at the top of the door.
- Full vehicle, two fronts, or back glass only
- Windshield strip and full windshield in ceramic 70
- Sunroof, quarter glass and vent windows
- Old film and adhesive removal, defroster-safe
- Fleet and dealer work by the unit
Storefronts,
offices, warehouses
Solar film that takes the load off an AC unit fighting a west-facing wall of glass, plus security and privacy film for everything that happens after closing.
- Solar control film to cut cooling cost and hot spots
- Safety and security film that holds shattered glass together
- Frosted and etched privacy film for conference rooms and bathrooms
- Anti-graffiti film on exposed street-level glass
- After-hours and weekend installs so you do not close
Homes, condos
and lanais
The room nobody uses from noon to five usually has one problem: west glass. Spectrally selective film fixes the heat without turning the room into a cave.
- Sliders, picture windows, skylights and lanai enclosures
- Nearly clear films that reject heat without changing the look
- UV block that stops floors, art and furniture from fading
- Privacy film for ground-floor and street-facing rooms
- HOA-friendly options — we will read the rules with you
Why ceramic
Dark is not the same as cool.
Cheap limo tint gets dark by adding dye. It still lets the infrared through, so the car looks blacked out and stays hot — then turns purple in two summers. Ceramic film blocks the heat itself, which is why a nearly clear ceramic 70 can outperform a dyed 5.
| Film | Heat rejected | Holds color | Blocks signal |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dyed | 25–35% | 2–4 yrs, turns purple | No |
| Carbon | 35–45% | Yes | No |
| Metalized | 45–55% | Yes | Yes — GPS, cell, tolls |
| Ceramic IR | 50–71% | Life of the film | No |
What the appointment looks like
Two hours, start to keys.
Timings are for a full four-door car. Homes and storefronts follow the same steps, measured by the pane.
-
10 min
Shade and film selection
We hold samples against your own glass in daylight — factory privacy glass already darkens the back, so 20% on the rear of an SUV looks nothing like 20% on a sedan. We confirm the front doors stay Florida-legal before anything is cut.
-
15 min
Glass decontamination
Old film and adhesive come off first, defroster lines intact. Then razor, clay and slip solution on every pane. Almost every failed tint job is a prep job that was rushed.
-
30 min
Pattern cut and heat-shrink
Patterns are computer-cut to your exact year, make and model, so no blade touches your glass. Back glass is heat-shrunk by hand to sit flat on a compound curve.
-
45–90 min
Installation
Film goes in behind the door seals, edge to edge. No light gap along the top of the door, no fingers of adhesive at the corners.
-
2–3 days
Cure
Leave the windows up. Haze and small water pockets are normal and clear on their own — Miami heat cures film faster than almost anywhere. After that, clean with anything ammonia-free.
Florida tint law
Know the number before you get pulled over.
Florida measures tint by how much light gets through the glass — film plus factory glass together. Higher number, lighter tint. We will not install a shade that gets you a ticket without telling you first.

|---|---|---|
| Windshield | Above AS-1 line | Above AS-1 line |

Questions we get every day
Straight answers.
What tint is legal in Florida?
On a passenger car the front side windows must let in more than 28% of light, and the back sides and rear window more than 15%. On an SUV, van or truck the front sides are still 28%, but the back sides and rear only need to pass more than 6%. The windshield takes non-reflective film above the AS-1 line.
In practice that makes 35% the darkest shade we can legally install on front doors. Full details on our Florida tint law page.
How much does window tinting cost?
Price depends on the vehicle, the film and whether old tint has to come off — a two-door coupe and a Suburban are not the same job. Text a photo of your car to 786-406-5850 and you will get a real number back the same day, not a range.
Homes and storefronts are quoted per square foot after we measure the glass. Estimates are free.
How long does it take?
A full car is about two hours. Two front doors, roughly 45 minutes. Back glass alone, about 40. Residential and commercial jobs are scheduled by the amount of glass and can usually be done in a day.
When can I roll my windows down?
Wait three days. The film is on the glass immediately, but the adhesive needs time to lock in. Haze and small water pockets in the first few days are normal — they clear on their own as the film cures.
Does ceramic tint really block heat, or is that a sales pitch?
It is measurable. Heat you feel through glass is mostly infrared, and ceramic film rejects up to 98% of it. Dyed film barely touches it — that is why a blacked-out car with cheap tint is still an oven.
The number to ask any shop for is TSER, total solar energy rejected. It accounts for everything: infrared, visible light and UV. Anyone quoting only "99% UV" is quoting the easy number.
Will tint mess with my GPS, phone signal or SunPass?
Not with ceramic. Metalized films contain a metal layer that can interfere with signal — GPS, cell reception, tire pressure sensors and toll transponders. Ceramic film has no metal in it, so nothing changes.
Can you remove old bubbling or purple tint?
Yes, and it should always come off before new film goes on. Removal includes the adhesive layer and is done without damaging rear defroster lines. It is quoted with the job.
Do you come to me?
Mobile installation is available across Miami-Dade for vehicles, weather permitting — film needs a clean, still environment to go on right. All residential and commercial work happens on site. Call 786-406-5850 to check your address.
What kind of warranty comes with it?
The film carries a manufacturer lifetime warranty against bubbling, peeling, cracking, delamination and color change, and our installation is guaranteed. Keep your invoice — it is your proof of purchase.
