The heat, first
Every house in South Florida has one room nobody uses between noon and five. It is almost always the room with west glass. The AC runs constantly and never wins, because the heat is arriving faster than the vent can remove it.
Solar film fixes that at the glass. Depending on the film and the window, it rejects a large share of the solar energy before it enters the room, so the AC stops chasing it and the temperature across the house evens out.
Without turning the room into a cave
Spectrally selective film separates what you want from what you do not. Heat and ultraviolet are rejected; visible light largely passes through. From inside, the view and the daylight stay. From outside, the glass looks close to untinted.
If you have impact or Low-E windows, say so up front. Laminated impact glass and low-emissivity coatings change how heat builds inside the pane. The wrong film can cause thermal stress or void your window warranty. We match film to your specific glass instead of putting the same roll on everything.
Fading
Ultraviolet is what takes the color out of a wood floor, a rug, a sofa arm or a print on the wall. Film blocks around 99% of it. It will not freeze a room in time — visible light and heat contribute too — but it removes the single largest cause, and the difference over a few years is obvious along the line where sunlight lands.
Glare
The other reason that room goes unused is that you cannot see the television or a laptop screen in it. Cutting visible light transmission takes the glare down without closing the blinds and giving up the window entirely.
Privacy
- Daytime one-way film for ground-floor rooms facing a street or a neighbor
- Frosted film for bathrooms, front-door sidelights and stair windows
- Decorative patterns where you want light but not a view in
Worth knowing: reflective one-way film works while the outside is brighter than the inside. After dark, with the lights on, the effect reverses. For round-the-clock privacy, frosted film is the honest answer.

What the appointment looks like
We measure, confirm what kind of glass you have, and quote by the square foot. Install is on site — furniture moved back, glass cleaned and wet-applied, frames and sills left clean. A typical house is a day. Film cures over a few days exactly like it does on a car.
Free measure, on your schedule.
Tell us which rooms are the problem and which way they face. We will quote the glass on site.
